Giants Jerseys

Collecting New York Giants jerseys has become a popular hobby for me.  Especially in recent years, it has become very easy to own a jersey similar in build and quality to those actually worn by the pros.  In essence, there are are two types of jerseys you can acquire.  The first, and least expensive, are the replica jerseys.  These jersey types have the general look of professional jerseys, however, the material quality is much lighter and far less durable.  In addition, the specifications of the jersey may be a little different than the actual professional jerseys.  For example, the style and size of the numbers may be a little different than the real jerseys.  The second jersey type is the customized jersey.  These jerseys are made exactly to the specifications of professionally used jerseys with regards to both material and worksmanship.  The only difference between them and the real thing is that the customized jerseys are tailored for a more relaxed fit where as the professional jerseys are tailored to be tighter-fitting on a player and also account for a player's shoulder pads.  Without question, customized jerseys command a significantly higher price than replica jerseys.  The common ground for both are that they are both available via retail either in sporting goods stores or online at NFLSHOP.COM where customized jerseys can be personalized as well.

The professional jerseys that I spoke of, commonly known as "game-worn" or "game-issued" jerseys (I'll explain the difference on that page), are also available for purchase through dealers around the country.  The major limiting factor, when it comes to collecting game-worn jerseys of any professional sport, is that it is a most expensive hobby to be in.  I discuss this in more detail on that page.
